Cup of Blessings

I’m back!

So I have been in this town (well I call it village) for two weeks. Before then, I knew not a single person neither any name of a place to help me move from point A to point B (to be honest with you, point A looked exactly the same as point B to me anyway) – it’s a grassland! I really wasn’t sure how I was going to survive such environment and save money without using taxi everywhere.

But to the glory of God, the Almighty has had my back in every situation since I stepped foot into this town. It’s as if I don’t have to work hard before what I need has already arrived or an issue that I need to worry about has already come with a solution.

I explained this at the Winners Bible study last week during the testimony session (that is located within the town – imagine! That was through divine connections) and what the Bible study leader said got me thinking.

If curses can passed on through generations (Deuteronomy 5:9), so can blessings.

I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. – Isaiah 44:3

My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants—from this time on and forever, says the Lord. – Isaiah 59:21

Our future generations can benefit from the blessings from the service we offer to God and the blessing we give onto others.

The Bible study leader spoke much to me that my mother’s service to God and the blessings she gives onto others has much to do with the favour I am receiving in the town right now.

Just in case you’re wondering, my mum is a GIVER. She’ll make sure you’re alright before she checks herself.

My mum is a PRAYER WARRIOR, she is part of the prayer unit in our church and I know the prayer group prays a lot for the church. In fact once a month whilst the services are going on in the main auditorium, they’ll be a prayer group praying throughout each of the service, touching on each point that they want ministered to us. They pray for the pastors, they pray for those in need, they pray for those who are alright and are already blessed

Mum is also Bible study leader… mum has a car with 7 seats…takes people to and from church. Mum is involved in soul winning. The list actually goes on…and on top of that she still does her Mum, Wife role – The lady of Balance. The blessings in her cup must be overflowing, filling up mine.

God has, IS blessing my mother so that she is able to bless others. God told Abraham in Genesis 12:2, “I will bless you … and you will be a blessing” (NIV). Once we are blessed, it  is important that it flows outwardly onto others. When we are blessing others, we need to remember that it’s not just by materialistic things or just in the physical, financial help, but we can bless people by giving the practical advice or even emotional support.

As my mother continues to bless other people, and more people, the more God will continue to bless her life and her family. Luke 6:38:

“Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back — given back with bonus and blessing” – Luke 6:38 (MSG).

“I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save”. – Isaiah 49:25

Have you ever thought that the favour you’re receiving now could be down to your parents blessing others?

It could be down to the prayers of your grandparents.

It could be down to the good deeds your great grandparents did in their life time.

How are you going to make sure your children and your children’s children receive the overflow of blessings in their life?

I hope you are all good, looking refreshed for the Spring season.

I hope you liked my small brief testimony. It does feel like forever since I have written to you. I think it’s because of the whole settling down in a new town and new job thing. Trying to get myself into a routine. Hopefully, things will be back into place by next week.

I am back to editing testimonies again; please send them via The Multifunction Box. You can also give me your suggestions and feedback via the same link also. I would like more poems, music and artwork pretty please. 🙂 Thanks.

Once again, I would like to apologise to everyone who got that fraud-like email from me. To avoid it happening again, I did have to change my email address (so hopefully, it shouldn’t happen again).

Have a restful Sunday and I’ll type to you soon by God’s grace.
